LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers announced on Saturday that left-handed pitcher David Huff cleared waivers and was sent outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Huff accepted the assignment.
Huff was designated for assignment on Wednesday, removing him from the 40-man roster one day after allowing four runs in four innings in a spot start against the Mariners, a game eventually won by the Dodgers in the ninth inning.
With over three years of major league service time, Huff, 30, had the right to refuse an outright assignment to the minors but he accepted, and will rejoin his Oklahoma City teammates, with whom he started the season.
