Dodgers Organization Reportedly Set to Honor Juneteenth Internally

On Thursday morning, ESPN LA Sports Radio personality LZ Granderson tweeted a screenshot of an email reportedly distributed internally by the Dodgers organization. The message is great to see from one of the usually more progressive teams in all of sports.

In commemoration of June 19th — or the long-known-about Juneteenth — the organization will be closing its offices and asking its team members to reflect and “consider how each one of us can continue to work together toward a better future.”

Moreover, according to Granderson, the club has been working with its employees in exchanging thoughts and dialogue about how to better move into a new and better phase of life in the times of the Black Lives Matter movement.
