LOS ANGELES — An inconsistent start to his season has made Julio Urias the odd man out in the Dodgers’ starting rotation at the moment, and the 20-year-old left-hander was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Urias allowed seven runs while recording just seven outs in a loss Saturday night to the Marlins, and on the season has more walks (14) than strikeouts (11).
“You’ve got to get ahead of hitters to then give yourself a chance to be efficient and go deeper in games,” manager Dave Roberts said on Saturday night.
