Dodgers fans are sure to be excited about this one. The Giants’ deal with free agent Carlos Correa is no more. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported late on Tuesday night that Correa would instead be joining the Mets.
The Dodgers were rumored to be exploring signing Correa earlier this offseason but those whispers never seemed all that serious. However, people within the industry knew just how much Mets owner Steve Cohen wanted Correa. Or, really, wanted to make one more big splash.
Instead, Steve goes huge.
Earlier on Tuesday, reports emerged of a hang up involving Correa’s physical.
