The Dodgers lost another player this offseason. But, in this case, fans can hold their breath. Veteran catcher Tony Wolters, who appeared in just two games for the Dodgers in 2022, signed a deal with the Twins. New York Post insider Jon Heyman reported the move on Thursday afternoon.
Wolters signed with LA as a backup to the backup catcher situation last season. He spent most of 2022 at the Triple-A level where he hit .230 with a .605 OPS over 61 games.
Wolters spent five of his seven seasons in the league with the Rockies appearing in 405 games.
