After a rough showing on Saturday, the Los Angeles Dodgers looked to salvage their series against the San Diego Padres in Monterrey, Mexico in the third and final game on Sunday.
They weren’t able to do that though, stranding 13 runners on bases and falling to the Padres 3-0 to drop to 15-19 on the season.
The Dodgers offense could not capitalize on the opportunities presented to the by Padres starter Eric Lauer. The Dodgers had plenty of opportunities to score, but went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and stranded nine runners on base in Lauer’s six innings of work.
