Dodgers Notes: Shohei Ohtani Has Major Surgery, Joe Kelly Talks Retirement, Roki Sasaki to LA?

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced that Shohei Ohtani underwent surgery for a torn labrum. Ohtani injured his shoulder while attempting to slide into second base during the World Series against the New York Yankees. Ohtani is expected to be ready for spring training, but Dodgers Nation spoke to a doctor who talked about his potential recovery.

Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly does not plan on retiring and intends to pitch in 2025. Kelly is currently a free agent. Kelly also called the Yankees one of the worst teams in the postseason.

Finally, the Dodgers are reportedly the favorites to land Nippon Professional Baseball pitcher Roki Sasaki if he gets posted this offseason according to multiple MLB insiders.
