GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Micah Johnson is the first cut of the spring.
The second baseman (acquired as part of the Dodgers’ December trade with the Chicago White Sox) is in camp early but he will be a little limited for a few days. Johnson suffered a cut on his left hand that required four stitches to close.
Johnson said he was trying to get the pit out of an avocado Thursday night when the injury occurred. He expects to be back to full strength by the time the Dodgers hold their first full-squad workout next Thursday.
RYU REHAB
Left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu threw a 35-pitch “low-intensity” bullpen session Thursday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.
