PHOENIX — Justin Turner is not in the lineup for a third straight day on Wednesday against the Giants, though that is by design. After starting at third base on Saturday and at designated hitter on Sunday, Turner had an injection in his left knee, the same knee he had microfracture surgery after the 2015 season.
"It's kind of the same program he did last year, and he's sort of on the same program as Logan Forsythe,” manager Dave Roberts said. “It's a lubrication thing, just to get ahead of it, and give him a couple days off.
