The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their busy offseason on Monday, sending infielder Gavin Lux to the Cincinnati Reds for a minor league outfield prospect and a pick.
Lux, the former first-round pick of the Dodgers in 2016, officially ends his tenure in Los Angeles as a two-time World Series champion. He’ll now get an opportunity to play a big role for an up-and-coming team in the Reds.
As for the Dodgers, though, the move of Lux clears space in the team’s infield for the recently-signed Hyeseong Kim. It also makes room for the team to potentially bring back Kiké Hernández in free agency.
