Noah Syndergaard lasted just one inning before a cut opened up on his right pointer finger and made things a little too bloody for him to pitch. In the days since his brief appearance, the right-hander has thrown daily and will face his biggest test yet on Saturday, according to Dave Roberts.
Syndergaard will put some properly applied Dermabond — a liquid banage agent — to the test during a bullpen session Saturday afternoon. His next step will come into the picture from there.
“Watching him play catch (Friday), he was ripping it. (Saturday) is going to be a really big day for him.
