The Los Angeles Dodgers weren’t the only National League West team to ask about Blake Snell at the trade deadline. The San Diego Padres also sought a potential trade for the left-hander who threw for them from 2021-23.
MLB insider Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported the interest.
The San Francisco Giants didn’t budge. The club didn’t give up the Cy Young Award winner and certainly didn’t want to aid an NL West rival team in strengthening their rotation by handing over Snell.
The Dodgers could’ve used Snell to give new life to a rotation that has been hampered by injury all season long.
