As the Los Angeles Dodgers continue to evaluate options to upgrade their bullpen before July 31 trade deadline, the club retained some organizational depth when Zac Rosscup cleared waivers. The left-hander was subsequently sent outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
The Dodgers designated Rosscup for assignment on July 15 in a corresponding move to recalling Casey Sadler from Oklahoma City. It marked a third time this season Rosscup was designated for assignment.
He originally joined the Dodgers from the Colorado Rockies via waiver claim in July 2018. Rosscup appeared in 17 games for the Dodgers after that point, most notably completing an immaculate inning against the Seattle Mariners.
