Joe Kelly’s tenure with the Los Angeles Dodgers has not gotten off to a good start as he got hit around a bit in each of his first two outings, leading to the team’s only two losses of the season.
Friday afternoon’s game against the Colorado Rockies presented Kelly a chance to get right on the mound. He entered in the bottom of the ninth inning with the Dodgers comfortably ahead, 10-4.
Kelly’s outing did not last long, unfortunately. The first hitter he faced, Charlie Blackmon, drilled a line drive right back at Kelly that he was able to make a play on.
