For the first time in what seems like a long time, the Dodgers led wire-to-wire to secure a victory. Dodgers starter Tyler Anderson threw six shutout innings to help LA secure a series win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night.
Anderson yielded just three hits across six innings of work and exited the game with a sparkling 2.96 ERA on the season.
On the back of Anderson’s fine start, the Dodgers bested the Cardinals 4-0 in the series finale, with none other than Gavin Lux launching a two-run shot in the seventh innings to push LA’s lead to four runs.
