The final game of the Dodgers-Braves series delivered on the drama. The rubber match, which was broadcasted on ESPN on Sunday Night Baseball, was an extra-innings thriller.
For much of the game, the Dodgers appeared to be dead in the water. Braves starter Spencer Strider or “Quadzilla” as he’s known to some, threw six scoreless innings. The Braves scrapped together a 2-0 lead and had the Dodgers down to their final strike.
With Kenley Jansen on the mound, recently acquired outfielder Trayce Thompson stepped into the box with two outs and runners on the corners.
