Dodgers All-Star pitcher Tony Gonsolin has been out for over a month with a right forearm strain that was only supposed to sideline him for two weeks. After a rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, L.A. manager Dave Roberts had an exciting update on the guy who led the National League in ERA at the time of his injury.
Dave Roberts said Tony Gonsolin’s rehab start yesterday “went really well” Plan is to have Gonsolin start Monday’s game against Colorado. Would pitch 3 innings that day. They’re still hoping to get him to 4 innings in time for the NLDS
Gonsolin’s start on Monday would come in the third-to-last game of the season, so there wouldn’t be time to get him a second start in the regular season.
