Not even an off day could throw the Dodgers off their rhythm. LA kicked off their seven-game road trip in Kansas City on Friday night in style with a 8-3 route to push their winning streak to eleven games. After failing to score a run in the first six innings, the Dodgers erupted for a five-spot in the top of the seventh and three more runs in the eighth to back a strong outing from starter Tony Gonsolin.
Gonsolin Sniffs No-Hitter
All-Star Tony Gonsolin was in fine form on Friday night. The righty carried a no-hit bid into the seventh innings, but Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino broke it up with a one-out single in the bottom of the seventh.
