Game 2 of the National League Division Series wasn’t the only big thing happening at Dodger Stadium last night. Just outside of the bright lights of October baseball, the concession stadium workers who staff the food and beverage stands at the stadium voted 98% in favor of ratifying a historic union contract with the concessions giants at the stadium, Compass Group and Levy Restaurants.
Back in July, there was a very real chance of the workers striking during the All-Star Game being held in Los Angeles, but that special event gave the workers the leverage they needed to improve their bargaining position.
