Dodgers News: Ryan Brasier Expected to Start Game 2 of NLCS

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reliever Ryan Brasier listed as the starter for Monday’s bullpen game.

Brasier started Game 4 of the National League Division Series, which was a win-or-go-home game for the Dodgers. The right-hander retired one batter, gave up zero runs, and no walks through 1.1 innings pitched against the San Diego Padres. Brasier threw 13 strikes in his 19-pitch outing.

The Dodgers are hopeful Brasier can replicate his performance Monday afternoon against the Mets. The Dodgers’ pitching staff has thrown 33 consecutive scoreless innings in the postseason, tying the 1966 Baltimore Orioles who held the major league record.
