The club recently announced that they will distribute their first-ever digital bobbleheads on Friday, Sept. 21, prior to a matchup with the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium.
Ticketed fans will have the option of downloading a Kenley Jansen, Clayton Kershaw or Justin Turner bobblehead in what’s the first Crypto giveaway in Major League Baseball history.
Dodgers right-hander Ross Stripling isn’t too keen on the idea, as he doesn’t see much purpose in the club distributing a digital bobblehead over a more traditional physical one, via Bill Shaikin of the L.A. Times:
“It may have some value of some sort because it’s the first of its kind,” Stripling said, “but at the end of the day, I just don’t see it holding a lot of value.
