In February, the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired right-handed pitcher Alex Reyes to a one-year, $1.1 million deal that also includes a $3 million club option in 2024.
The 28-year-old was one of the top pitching prospects in baseball before undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2017. He hopes to get back on track, and is in good hands with the Dodgers. LA has a reputation of revitalizing player’s careers.
Doug McKain of Dodgers Nation specifically asked Reyes how much of a factor this had on his decision to sign with LA:
“It meant everything. When we were team searching, one of the big things was finding an organization that understood where I was and where I am in my rehab and this is grade-A organization and I’m excited to be here and continue my rehab here and get healthy and help this team down the line.
