Guess who’s back! After a season and a half hiatus, long-time former Dodger reliever Pedro Baez has returned to the organization according to the team’s transactions page and confirmed by multiple sources. The deal is of the minor league variety.
Baez left the Dodgers a champion after playing a key role in LA’s 2020 World Series title. The then 32-year-old inked a two-year deal with the Houston Astros worth $12.5 million. However, the move proved to be a bust for ‘Stros with Baez making only 7 appearances and allowing 3 earned runs over 2.1 innings (5.40 ERA) while he dealt with covid and shoulder issues.
