High-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes outfielder DJ Peters was named the California League Player of the Week for games April 24-30. Peters was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of Western Nevada College in the fourth round of the 2016 Draft.
In seven games last week, Peters swung the bat extremely well, going 10-for-25 (.400 batting average), with two doubles, four home runs, 11 RBIs, 10 runs scored and six walks. He homered three times in four games from Wednesday through Saturday.
On Friday and Saturday, he combined to go 5-for-10 with two home runs and four RBIs, as the Quakes split the first two of a three-game set against Lancaster.
