The Padres come to Dodger Stadium tonight to start a three-game series that means a lot more to San Diego than to the Dodgers. Los Angeles has an 18-game lead over the Padres in the NL West, essentially an insurmountable lead. The Padres, meanwhile, are currently 2.5 games ahead of the Brewers for the third and final Wild Card spot in the NL.
Both team announced their expected starting pitchers for the series, and it’s shaping up to be a good one.
Tonight’s game will pit Dustin May, in his third start back from Tommy John surgery, against former Dodger Yu Darvish.
