Even though the trade deadline passed on August 1st, the Dodgers are still making trades around the league. On Friday, the team sent away two minor-league pitchers to the White Sox in exchange for international slot money.
As first reported by the Orange County Register’s Bill Plunkett, the team parted ways with Aldrin Batista and Maximo Martinez.
With the international slot money the team received from Chicago, the Dodgers can offer more money to international signings when it comes time for that this offseason.
Batista has only pitched in 23 professional games in his career.
