The Padres announced the probable starters for Games 1 and 2 of the NLDS at Dodger Stadium this weekend.
Dylan Cease and Yu Darvish are the expected front-line starters for San Diego. Cease and Darvish will go head-to-head with Jack Flaherty and Yoshinobu Yamamoto at Chavez Ravine.
Both the Dodgers and Padres plan to utilize right-handers for the first two games of the NLDS.
Cease posted a 3.47 ERA this season. He has a 14-11 record through 33 starts.
“I feel like if mechanically I’m in a good spot and mentally prepared and know what pitches I need to execute and where, then it doesn’t really matter when I pitch,” Cease told reporters Thursday.
