The Los Angeles Dodgers agreed with a union representing about 450 employees on two new 5-year contracts according to announcements from both sides Tuesday.
The agreement comes after employees gathered in protest outside of the Dodgers’ prime time matchup against the New York Yankees in an effort to draw attention to their cause back in early June.
The workers cite inflation and a rise in the cost of living as the motivation behind calling for higher wages.
The Dodgers and the SEIU USWW, the union representing 500 Dodger Stadium workers in negotiations, have agreed to a new contract, according to a union spokesman.
