Los Angeles Dodgers do-it-all star Mookie Betts won the National League’s Player of the Week Award, continuing his dominant season and strengthening his case for this year’s NL MVP Award.
Most notably, LA’s right fielder, second baseman and occasional shortstop hit an incredible .615 with a 1.540 OPS this past week as the Dodgers won series against the Cleveland Guardians and Boston Red Sox, Betts’ former team.
Somewhat surprisingly, this is Betts’ first Player of the Week honor of 2023, but he’s played a big part in the Dodgers climb to be one of baseball’s top teams.
