This past weekend was a homecoming for Mookie Betts as he returned to Fenway Park for the first time since being traded away from the Boston Red Sox. LA was able to take two of three games from the Red Sox, giving them another series win.
It was an emotional experience for him all around, but Betts knew that there was a job to be done. The Dodgers All-Star took a page out of a Los Angeles Lakers great’s playbook to help him get through the weekend.
“Got a job to take care of. You have to separate business and emotions and I’ve learned from a couple people and especially Kobe when I got to talk to him … and I just put it into my repertoire,” Betts said.
