Thursday night was another good one for the Dodgers. Opening up a 4-game set against the Cubs, the offense showed up and back up another solid outing from Tony Gonsolin, who earned his 11th win of the season. Gonsolin went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs while punching out 3 batters.
But Mookie Betts was once again phenomenal, continuing his impressive return from the IL. The Dodgers outfielder launched the second pitch he saw to lead off the home half of the first just barely over the wall in left to take an early lead.
Later in the game, Mookie would launch another one off of Michael Rucker for another multi-HR game.
