Wednesday night was pretty sweet for Dodgers fans. Looking for a series sweep over the Rockies, Los Angeles’ offense struggled to get anything across the entire game. But after a ball skipped away at home plate, that opened the door to get them back into the game.
That set the stage for the 9th inning. The Dodgers loaded up the bases against Daniel Bard and brought up Mookie Betts to end it. He chopped a ball over the mound and the Rockies’ infield could not get a play off at the plate. Betts was credited with a walk-off single to end it.
