Major League Baseball announced that with the agreement of the Players Association, they have extended Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer’s placement on Administrative Leave for an additional seven days, effective on Friday.
MLB’s investigation remains ongoing as they continue to dig into the sexual assault allegations against the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner.
As things currently stand, Bauer will remain on leave for another week, and after that, the Players Association would have to agree for it to be extended indefinitely for it to go beyond that. Bauer still gets paid while he’s on leave but is not allowed to pitch or be around the team.
