The Dodgers players got to enjoy an off day today, but the LA front office was still hard at work rejiggering the roster. The team apparently optioned prospect Miguel Vargas on Monday afternoon according to The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya.
“The Dodgers optioned Miguel Vargas, per the transaction log. Would imagine that’s the corresponding move for Justin Turner coming off the IL tomorrow.”
Vargas, one of the Dodgers top prospects, started two games this past week. In the first at-bat of his MLB career on Wednesday against the Giants at Oracle Park, the Cuban infielder logged a RBI double.
