Dodgers star rookie infielder Miguel Vargas is out of the starting lineup on Tuesday. Vargas, who has an incredible league-leading on-base percentage of .722 through four games (and one pinch-hit appearance), was hit on the hand with a pitch in the 7th inning of last night’s game. Vargas remained in the game, relieving Dodger fans a little bit of the potential stress of an injury. However, on Tuesday, that stress came back when he wasn’t in the lineup.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke to reporters ahead of Tuesday’s game and explained why Vargas was out of the lineup.
