As the Dodgers and Padres continue their four game series, the boys in blue were forced to make a roster move. Before Sunday evening’s game, the club announced that rookie starter Michael Grove was heading to the 15-day injured list with a right lat injury. In a corresponding move, Bryan Hudson has been recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Grove got the start against the Padres on Saturday night but exited after just five batters (four of which he struck out). It seemed at the time like it was part of the plan, but maybe the injury played a part in his early exit.
