While the Dodgers wait until Saturday to start their playoff run, the organization has already started winning awards through one of its top prospects.
During Minor League Baseball’s inaugural award show, it was announced that Dodgers prospect Michael Busch won the Most Valuable Player Award for the Pacific Coast League.
The Oklahoma City Dodgers infielder had one of the best offensive seasons in all the minor leagues this year. Through 98 games Busch hit .323 with 27 home runs and 97 RBIs.
Busch’s time in Triple-A was cut short multiple times throughout the season as the Dodgers kept on calling him up to the major league team whenever an injury occurred in the infield.
