Already without Rich Hill for a still-to-be-determined period of time, the Los Angeles Dodgers have now lost Logan Forsythe to a right big toe fracture. Forsythe, along with Rob Segedin (sprained right big toe) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday.
Although the injury is ominous, the Dodgers appear to have avoided a more serious injury. Manager Dave Roberts described Forsythe’s fracture as “a little hairline thing,” which doesn’t amount to a recovery of four to six weeks.
Instead, Roberts projected Forsythe may only miss around two weeks, with his return date somewhat dependent on pain tolerance.
