Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Logan Forsythe was removed in the fifth inning on Saturday night in what initially appeared to be a peculiar double switch. However, the Dodgers later announced Forsythe was removed for precautionary reasons with right hamstring tightness.
Prior to his removal, Forsythe was 3-for-3 with a double, two singles and one run scored. He entered the night batting .310/.408/.357 with two doubles, two RBI and five walks in 12 games.
Forsythe at one point was mired in a 0-for-14 skid that stretched over parts of five games.
