Dodgers News: Legendary Scout Mike Brito Passes Away At 87

When you think of the Los Angeles Dodgers, there are a few names that immediately come to mind. Guys like Vin Scully, Tommy Lasorda, Sandy Koufax, and Clayton Kershaw all immediately come to mind. But you would find it difficult to find another guy with more impact on a franchise than Mike Brito.

The Dodgers announced yesterday before the game that the legendary scout had passed away at the age of 87. The team also held a moment of silence for him before taking on the Cubs to kick off a 4-game series.

Brito came to the Dodgers back in the ’70s and was hired on as a full-time Mexican League scout.
