Never shy to take chances on any player, the Dodgers proved such a theory right once again with a recent roster move.
Earlier this week, the team announced that they signed long time Cardinal infielder Kolten Wong to a minor league contract with a good defensive reputation behind him.
Poor hitting numbers with the Mariners aside, Wong has proven to be an important piece to multiple playoff teams in St. Louis, culminating in a World Series appearance with the franchise in 2013 in his rookie season.
Individually, Wong’s glove and decent speed have always been his calling card manning second base, winning two Gold Gloves in back to back seasons with the Cardinals in 2019 and 2020.
