The Dodgers and pitcher Cole Cressend have agreed to a deal. Cressend is the son of former Major League pitcher Jack Cressend and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Cressend wasn’t selected in the 2023 Draft but lands with the Dodgers as he tries to carve out a big-league career.
The elder Cressend posted to social media about his excitement for his son.
The 20-year-old pitcher recently performed in the Cape Cod League. He threw well, allowing two runs over 4.1 innings of work. LA seemed to see something, so they decided to give him a chance.
