The Dodgers have been red-hot dating back to July, and after completing their second four-game sweep of the season of the Giants earlier this week, LA is one win away from sweeping the Padres in a three-game set at Dodger Stadium.
Prior to first pitch though, the Dodgers lost another quality arm. The team announced that standout reliever Yency Almonte has been placed on the injured list with right elbow tightness. In a corresponding roster move, the team recalled 26-year-old righty Andre Jackson.
