Not only did the Dodgers get back to their winning ways in the two-game sweep over the Angels this week, they made history while doing it.

The Dodgers did not give up a run in the two-game series in Anaheim this week, taking both games by a 2-0 score. This was the first time the Dodgers have recorded back-to-back shutouts this season, and in doing so, tied a long standing record.

According to OptaSTATS on Twitter, this is the 14th season in a row that the Dodgers have pitched a shutout in consecutive games The streak started in 2010 and is just as long as the Yankees streak from the 1950s into the mid-1960s.
