The Dodgers are making some moves this afternoon. With the trade deadline looking this week, you can be sure Andrew Friedman is working hard to see what kind of talent he can bring out to Los Angeles.
The news today is that the Dodgers landed Chris Martin in a deal with the Cubs. Martin has been incredibly effective at points in his career, but things have taken a little bit of a turn since he left Atlanta.
In 31 innings of work this year, Martin has compiled a 4.31 ERA and a FIP just over 3. His strikeout rate has climbed from his career average though, and he’s not walking as many guys as he has in the past.
