The trade deadline might have already passed, but that doesn’t mean the Dodgers aren’t looking to improve their overall roster. Teams can still claim players and pick up minor leaguers on moves. They did just that today on a waiver claim from the Orioles.
The Dodgers claimed infielder Rylan Bannon from Baltimore this afternoon. The 26-year-old right-handed bat has had a handful of opportunities at the big league level this year, appearing in 4 games for the Orioles’ big league squad.
Bannon was notably a part of the 2018 Manny Machado trade that sent the superstar to the Dodgers.
