The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Justin Turner on the 10-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain, and recalled Brett Eibner from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Turner was removed in the seventh inning on Thursday night after suffering a hamstring injury while rounding third base.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he was hopeful Turner would avoid the disabled list, given there was still relative strength in the hamstring. Roberts added the issue was closer to Turner’s knee as opposed to in “the belly of the hamstring.”
An MRI on Friday revealed a strain, prompting the DL stint.
