The Los Angeles Dodgers’ first look at the Chicago Cubs since the 2016 National League Championship Series included nearly a two-hour rain delay, two injuries, and ended in a walk-off loss.
Franklin Gutierrez, who was removed in the second inning on Monday, was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left-hamstring strain. Justin Turner, removed in the eighth inning with quadriceps tightness, avoided the DL on Wednesday but was not included in the lineup.
Turner provided more details on his injury and said he expects to return in the series finale against the Chicago Cubs, via Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group:
