Dodgers News: Justin Turner ‘Forever Grateful’ For Winning Final Vote To Make All-Star Game

Justin Turner went from All-Star snub to breaking a Final Vote record by receiving 20.8 million votes to earn the last spot on the National League roster for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. He surpassed the mark of 19.7 million votes Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman received in 2013.

Turner is the Los Angeles Dodgers’ sixth player named to this year’s Midsummer Classic. He’s only the second in the organization’s history to win the Final Vote, joining Nomar Garciaparra (2006).

“I don’t think it will set in for a while,” Turner said of his first career All-Star selection.
