The Dodgers almost had their second perfect week in a row. In more ways than one. On Friday night, Clayton Kershaw had his second brush with perfection, and this time, it was against another AL squad – the Orange County Angels.
Kershaw, who will be starting in tomorrow’s All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium, carried a perfect game into the eighth inning.
Of course, pitchers chasing a perfecto need a standout play or two from the defense.
Dodgers veteran Justin Turner was happy to oblige.
In the fourth inning, Turner made a spectacular play at third base to keep Kershaw’s perfect game bid alive.
